Our Boston Bean Pot charm is crafted in the USA of Sterling silver. It measures approximately 1/2" wide by 1/2" high. On the front are the words, "Boston Baked Beans".
Boston is often called the "home of the bean and the cod". It's nickname,
"Beantown", has roots that date back to the first settlers of Boston, the Puritans.
Thick and gooey baked beans were a commmon meal for the Puritans, who worked hard all week long and rested
on the Sabbath when no cooking was done. On Saturday they prepared a pot of beans and let them bake overnight for Sunday's dinner.
