Zakim Bridge, Boston
Zakim Bridge Moonlight lithograph from an original watercolor by Thomas Rebek

Founded on Patriots Day, 2002, we carry forward the spirit of Massachusetts conceived in 1630, when King Charles I granted the charter of an independent Massachusetts Bay Colony. Faced with harsh winters and a rocky, infertile soil, the innately industrious colonists spawned both active politics and ingenious products. The result has been a continuing series of revolutions, beginning with the "shots heard 'round the world" at Concord, Massachusetts on April 19, 1775. The US industrial revolution began in Waltham with the power looms of Francis Cabot Lowell. The high tech revolution started with Alexander Graham Bell's telephone in Boston. Most recently, the biotech revolution was seeded here with landmark research at MIT, Harvard, and Clark. With this backdrop of revolution, Massachusetts has become famous for everything from baked beans and lobsters to Patriot missiles, the Super Bowl champion New England Patriot football team and the world champion Boston Red Sox.The products of MBTC embody the ingenious spirit of Massachusetts

"New England has a harsh climate, a barren soil, a rough and stormy coast, and yet we love it, even with a love passing that of dwellers in more favored regions." - Henry Cabot Lodge (1850-1924)
