Peg Connolly Ivy Arts Press

Peg Connolly of Ivy Arts Press was instantly hooked on Massachusetts when she was a high school student visiting Boston University one fall. "It was a glorious October day and it just happened to be the Head of the Charles regatta weekend," says Peg. "I thought it couldn't get any better than this. I didn't even apply to any other schools."

After BU, Peg spent several years in Pennsylvania and California but her New England roots beckoned her. In 1997, she found her way back to Boston's North Shore. "In addition to the incredible scenery here," says Peg, "the vibrant and supportive artistic community has been an inspiration.

Ivy Arts Press was created in 2000 out of Peg's love of beauty and vivid imagery. Bright and tempting food images are the hallmark of her note line and are said to be the source of many an attack of the munchies by some who admire them. Peg produced The Artview Calendar along with Melynn Allen of Allen Design Studio. The team took their art, graphic design, and printing backgrounds to create a vehicle to showcase the work of emerging Massachusetts artists.
