Richard Trust: Photographer

Richard Trust has resided in Massachusetts all of his life and often says that he would probably move here if it wasn't where he already lives. Says Richard, "I need to be near the ocean and it provides me many photo opportunities. The coast attracted me, and has kept me here. It's beguiling."

Although Richard has been a writer for most of his professional life, he has a special passion for photography. He has been taking pictures for more than 40 years and gets as much joy seeing his photos published as he does having his stories printed.

Richard now lives in Scituate, a friendly, photogenic little town on the South Shore of Massachusetts. Born in Boston, he moved to Scituate because of its access to five beaches, a wonderful harbor guarded by Scituate Light, and its natural overall beauty.

"After almost two decades, I'm still proud to be calling this my hometown," says Richard. "I also consider the beautiful little Nantucket village of Sconset my co-hometown. I feel just as at home during my time there as in Scituate. I visit the island as often as I can – and hate to leave!"
